PTFE-lined stop valve
I. Introduction:
J41F4-16C Lined with PTFE Globe Valve belongs to the forced-seal type valve. Therefore, when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the disc to force the sealing surface to prevent leakage. When the medium enters the valve chamber from below the disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the friction between the stem and the packing, as well as the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force required to close the valve is greater than that required to open it, so the diameter of the stem must be large; otherwise, the stem may bend. In recent years, since the advent of self-sealing valves, the medium flow direction of globe valves has been changed to enter the valve chamber from above the disc. At this time, under the action of medium pressure, the force required to close the valve is small, while the force required to open the valve is large, so the diameter of the stem can be reduced accordingly. At the same time, under the action of the medium, this type of valve is also more tight.
II. Features:
Simple structure, convenient for manufacturing and maintenance.
Small working stroke, short opening and closing time.
Good sealing performance, small friction between sealing surfaces, long service life.
III. Performance Specifications:
Lining, Valve Seat | Applicable Temperature (℃) | Applicable Medium |
PTFE (F4) | ≤180 | Strongly corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, salts, aqua regia, organic acids of various concentrations except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine |
PCTFE (F3) | ≤120 | |
FEP (F46) | ≤150 | |
PFA (Melting F4) | ≤180 | |

IV. Installation:
Globe valves operated by handwheels or handles can be installed at any position on the pipeline.
Handwheels, handles and transmission mechanisms are not allowed to be used for lifting.
The flow direction of the medium should be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the valve body.
The globe valve, also called stop valve, is one of the most widely used valves. It is widely popular because the friction between the sealing surfaces during opening and closing is small, it is relatively durable, the opening height is not large, it is easy to manufacture, and convenient to maintain. It is applicable not only to medium and low pressure but also to high pressure. Its closing principle is that the pressure of the stem makes the sealing surface of the disc closely fit with the sealing surface of the valve seat to prevent the medium from flowing.
Globe valves only allow the medium to flow in one direction, so they have directionality during installation. Their structural length is longer than that of gate valves, and the fluid resistance is large. During long-term operation, their sealing reliability is not strong.
Globe valves are divided into three categories: straight-through type, angle type and straight-through oblique globe valves
